1966 Vintage Fender Telecaster Guitar in Chico, California For Sale

VINTAGE xxxx FENDER TELECASTER GUITAR. I am the original owner of this guitar. Purchased it new back in '66. It's been sitting in my closet for the last 35 years. This guitar was used a lot in my youth (didn't everyone want to be a rock star back then?). Got put away when I was drafted and used again when I rotated out of the Army. Marraige, a family and supporting them seemed to get in the way of my musical career. Long story short, that's why the guitar has been sitting. It's now time to retire and move from this big house. Time to let someone else use and appreciate this guitar. As you can see in the pictures, it is "road worn" with much use. Has been banged around and has numerous chips and scratches as can be seen in the pictures. Finish is worn off the back of the neck but, the neck is lazer straight. The Rosewood fret board and frets are original and a little worn up through the 7th fret but can be dressed. The chrome on the controls is starting to bubble with some corrosion present. The guitar used to be Olympic White but has faded to a Cream color....I think they call that patina.
The really good news is I plugged this guitar into an amplifier and EVERYTHING WORKS...It sounds really great...even with 35 year old strings. The action is really nice (always was). Don't know what else to say...this guitar is not perfect, it's original and has the nicks and scratches to prove all the gigs it was played at.
